Full of character, short on light.
The flat’s tall bookcases and old moldings charmed everyone in person, yet the reading corner photographed as a shadowy pile of furniture. The owners’ armchair faced away from the window, stacks of books blocked the daylight, and the listing’s second photo — the nook — earned more quick exits than saves.
We kept every book and moved nearly everything else. The chair turned toward the glass, a slim floor lamp added evening warmth, and the shelves were edited to breathing room with a few framed prints. A folded throw and a small side table finished the scene: a reader’s corner, not a storage corner.
The refreshed nook became the listing’s second image and its most-saved detail. A week after the reshoot, the sellers accepted an offer 11.3% above asking.
The same flat, the same books — yet the photos looked like a different home. That corner carried our open house.
